True Happiness

1 Happy are those
    who reject the advice of evil people,
    who do not follow the example of sinners
    or join those who have no use for God.
² Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord,
    and they study it day and night.
³ They are like trees that grow beside a stream,
    that bear fruit at the right time,
    and whose leaves do not dry up.
They succeed in everything they do.

⁴ But evil people are not like this at all;
    they are like straw that the wind blows away.
⁵ Sinners will be condemned by God
    and kept apart from God's own people.
⁶ The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord,
    but the evil are on the way to their doom.

Scripture: Sinners will be condemned by God and kept apart from God's own people.

Comment: So you don't have to worry about them, God keeps them away from you. Also, be sure not to look for them on your own, the challenge here is that it's your desires that pull you towards sin and sinners even when you're protected from them

Scripture: Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God.

Comment: And, when your desires pull you towards them, make your last stand against sin/evil by rejecting their advice using your knowledge of the law of God. You'll always find that the words of evil people don't not glorify God - they have no use for God, so why glorify him?

Scripture: Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night.

Comment: The joy in obeying God's law is only found, it takes seeking to find, right? So we seek the joy in God's law day and night until we find it... now seeking can at times not be enjoyable, but when you find what you're seeking! The joy, the peace, the satisfaction... no wonder the righteous live a life of thanksgiving to God; they found what they're seeking.

Scripture: They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up.

Comment: And, because they found what they're seeking, their well-being depends on God, who's the river of life, everlasting life too. They depends on Him who supplies all their needs through all seasons, sustaining them in easy and difficult times, making them productive at the right time, when it's expected of them, and so...

Scripture: They succeed in everything they do.

Comment: Everything! They succeed in everything they do. One of the definitions of success to me is the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. At birth, it was success. In life, it was success. In death, it was success. And His resurrection was a success too. Because times don't look, feel or taste good they don't mean you're not succeeding. You're a success! A success in everything at all times!

Scripture: But evil people are not like this at all; they are like straw that the wind blows away.

Comment: Simply said, when you do not work for the glory of God, you work for nothing, NOTHING!

Scripture: The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but the evil are on the way to their doom.

Comment: All good things come from the guidance and protection of God, but when you're condemned by God because of your evil ways, you're doomed!

12 Rare Principles of Success in Life

When you succeed in life, and have children, it feels so bad when you see other children failing in life. It kinda makes you think, and actually worry about the future of your own children. Life plays you a bad deal when you can't help when you really want to and the need is real.

There are many lessons I've come to learn in life at a later age that I think I should have learnt much earlier, but someone somewhere was selfish enough not to let me know. They might have tried to teach me but I was always in the wrong place at a wrong time. It's sad that in all this no one helped me fix my terribly wanting condition.

Learning is a lifetime full-time job and if ever you stop learning then you stop living but surviving. Given that change is an ever present reality, you only adapt to changes well through endless learning.

Today am sharing twelve rare principles of success in life. These principles will help you succeed in whatever good you do without working harder than you should if you don't have to.

1) The principle of uniformity: Nature teaches us that this principle is true and favorable. You'll find animals both the prey, predators and scavengers living in the same habitat, even moving in the same direction, each following the other because of mutual benefits. People are surprised when they find a rose growing all by itself in the middle of a desert, they attach all superstition to it because it's not following the principle of uniformity. Be where you should be and in no other place at the appropriate time.

2) The Principle of Association: Man was meant to excel when he's in relationships. "One is to small a number to achieve greatness. No achievement of great value has ever been achieved by a human being working alone." John C Maxwell. Many people have no actual problem relating with others, but who to relate with. Here is a grand tip for you; choose people you like, admire and feel you'll treasure to relate with.
2 Peter 1:4-7 gives you a simple lesson in making yourself fit for good relationships - even what you see in others to determine if they'll make good company for you. However, learn to take chances with people, even those that are not that good, especially those you can influence to make better. People change with time, even for the better!

3) The Principle of Interest: Even the hardest things in life will come easy to those with interest in them. Some people love to be soldiers (and it's venerable) yet I think it's a difficult job because am not interested. Some people love rugby yet it scares me because am not interested. When you choose to interest yourself with anything, it starts to become simpler and understandable, and this applies to hobbies, business or even lessons in difficult subjects at school. Interest yourself with the important things and soon you'll be a person of importance.

4) The Principle of Survival for the Fittest: Weak people don't like the reality of natural selection. If you want to survive and have more and better opportunities in life, be that person that is always aiming at becoming better and better. Improving in the right and significant things everyday will make you more useful, needed and important - bringing you automatic success!

5) The Principle of Bravery: Bravery is a costly ticket to leadership. Lions are brave not because they're always right and strongest, but because they know what they want and are but afraid to eat anything the regard as food. All lions might be leaders of other animals in the park, but what does a lion do to become the leader of the pack of other lions? It proves itself to be more brave than the rest of its counterparts.

6) The Principle of Sharing: Selfishness only makes you less useful to those around you. Always think of what others need as you think about what you need. This will make you work harder and have more from which you can earn extra influence. If you desire to have great things in life and you have to get them but not yourself; give people what they need and they'll give you all you've ever needed.

7) The Principle of Recognition: Privately and publicly recognize those that make significant contribution to your life or the group. Recognition is being grateful and it's a good motivational factor. A chain is as strong as it's weakest link link so they say. Strengthen your weak links with some kind of recognition that challenges them to get out of their comfort zone and work even harder to give you more.

8) The Principle of Concern: Having concern for those around us gives us a place of influence in their life. Have you heard of a saying that one good turn deserves another? Everyone be inclined to you stand with you at all times if they know that if you care about them not just in words but in action. It's controversial when we are told to have concern for others and then to mind our business at the same time, but here is my simple answer; concern for others is your business so mind your business!

9) The Principle of Curiosity: A famous TV station has it's slogan as "Question More". Yes, question more about anything in life if you have to gain greater understanding in it. Everything good, useful, easing and comforting in our society today head been created by people who question more. In reading 1 Peter 1:10 carefully, we see that careful search and investigation also causes you to predict the future. The future is clearer to the curious, question more!

10) The Principle of Coordination: It's good to learn things that help you help people work together. Being a good team player might not only earn you a place on the team, but also opportunities of team leadership. It's a terrible feeling when your peers always tell you that it's because of you that they have endless challenges in the team including failure.Being relevant is one of the important things you can do to live in coordination with others.

11) The Principle of Positivity: Always see good in everything. Positivity and faith are BFF - Best Friends Forever. The Bible is a book of mostly positive thinkers and lessons on negative thinkers. Positivity makes you benefit more from anything and everything more than negativity. Positivity is being optimistic, positivity is being thankful and positivity is being thoughtful. Always look at the other side of anything and everything, especially the good side when all or most of what you see is the bad side.

12) The Principle of Simplicity: To define simplicity of character, a meek character brings it out best. To be meek in character means to be Humble, non-boastful, modest or self-effacing, submissive, dispirited... These are good words when understood positively. Matthew 5:5 and Psalm 37:11 have a promise to the simple in character; inheriting the earth, owning the earth and all its wealth!

Simple people are the most complicated people. It's easier to be complicated but hard and complex to be simple. You can easily be complicated even without actually being simple, but you can't be simple without being complicating yourself. Simplicity will make you lovable, approachable and always ready to be accommodated by others and to accommodate them. Simplify your life by acquiring a simple character. The simpler you can define yourself and your purpose in life, the simpler your life will be.

A Year of Great Company

This New Year our target is to make new company, company in high and low places, even new company within our known circles of influence, but profitable company that will give us morale to achieve our annual targets and most of all our life long purpose. By company I mean a team; a group of people who work together.

It’s said that your income will be the average of five of your closest company in five years’ time: for this reason, we start this year with adding, changing or adjusting our company, and of course eliminating some useless company like some of that we’re going to be looking at today.

Can someone that genuinely loves you be the bad company you don’t need as you pursue your purpose in life?

It’s a hard task to discover your true purpose in life. This purpose will sometimes come as a mere idea, dream, vision, assigned task from a superior, a deep desire – one of those things you like, an improvement of someone else’s idea, and many other ways, yet it’s even harder to start pursuing and fulfilling your purpose in life regardless of which way it comes to you or you get it.

As parents, it’s easy for us to identify bad and good company that we can permit our children to associate with if they have to live a meaningful life. Of course, living a meaningful life doesn’t mean you’re living your true purpose in life; we shall get more about that some other time. We sometimes go as far as chasing the young people we regard as bad company out of the lives and circles of our children; my mother was a champion at this and am forever grateful for her very much unwanted protection in my years of ignorance. I can’t tell how many times I was convinced she was against me when she fought everyone I regarded as a friend. 

Bad company is easy to deal with, even in our adult life, because you always see the bad things they do. But, is there possibility of good people, loving people and genuinely caring people pausing as bad company in your life and failing you to pursue and achieve your desired purpose in life without any hidden or visible intentions of malice?

In Genesis 12:1-9, God tells Abram “Leave your country, your relatives, and your father’s home, and go to a land that I am going to show you…” Abram had greatly prospered in his motherland with good age, great wealth and slaves. Imagine how hard it must have been for him to convince his parents, relatives and other associates to bless his journey after he prepared to leave in obedience of the call of God, which was his pursuit for purpose in life. 

Bad company can be people that cherish you genuinely, but only when they love you enough or too much not to let you dare to live to achieve your purpose in life. These people can be very protective and very caring that they will not let you do anything that they regard as risky, dangerous, mysterious or simply out of the ordinary. They’ll talk you out and talk you down, telling you all the possible challenges, just to discourage you in the name of not seeing you get hurt, disappointed or lost in things they’re convinced you don’t understand well.

David, suffered from this problem: his brothers could not comprehend the fact that he could challenge their fears (Goliath; 1 Samuel 17:26-31,33-37) and win victory for Israel in the name of the Lord. Even with genuine love for David, they thought talking him down and explaining how dangerous it’d be for him to challenge Goliath would deter him from daring the giant, yet truly they were prohibiting him from reaching his glorious destiny that would change his life forever (1 Samuel 17:41-58) - thank God he never listened, be like David!

Aspiring to do great things and actually doing them requires a measure of wisdom that can help you determine when to start, pause, resume and stop. Caution: be careful not to regard all wise counsel as an expression of bad attitude from people who love you that you might regard as bad company, not all caution from your company that deters you from doing what you want is actually bad company.

Think about this; how many people’s lives have been destroyed by the caution that is inspired by fears in the name of love and protectionism?

Whatever you do, follow your heart, find your purpose in life, take a risk, go forward, far and wide, and stay on the move until you can do something meaningful with your life! If ever you’re convinced to get out of your comfort zone which are the usual experiences and familiar environment to bring to life the purpose of your life, start when your heart tells you it’s convenient and enjoy the satisfaction of living your true purpose. 

May the Lord take each step of your life with you and be the leader of your good company as you find more company to help you discover your path and purpose in life. I wish you a happy and prosperous new year.

You + The Holy Spirit...

There's something I wish everyone on earth would have, the holy spirit. Knowing the benefits of the holy spirit, especially in today's world of gain, the holy spirit alone should entice everyone to salvation. In acts we see a man, a magician, who after seeing the excellent transformative works of the holy spirit wished he'd also get this power, but of cause he wanted it for the wrong reasons. 

Many people today are not afraid of the eternal destiny of each their soul, but mostly afraid of the terrible experience they might encounter if conditions change and success is no more in there favor, that's, for those that are already successful by world standards, and for those struggling to "make it" in life, never "making it" is there greatest fear. 

But why not tap into the great power of the holy spirit to summaries our search for greatness in life? Here are a few of the benefits of the holy spirit in anyone's life, I mean what he'd do to anyone at all if accepted and allowed to take control; he'd bring excellency in every field of your life, I mean physical, mental and spiritual. 

Daniel 6:3 (NKJV)
[3]Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

Yeah, that's the summary benefit of the Holy Spirit, because with all the spiritual gifts that he brings into anyone's life that gladly welcomes him into his life and gives him full control, as an act of obedience, excelling in life is inevitable.

Now, this lack of complete permission to control life that we're supposed to give the holy spirit is the exact reason why we are always failing in life, even when we claim (which might be true) to have the Holy Spirit! Because of our disobedience, we disgrace the Holy Spirit with incompetence and failure, which cause the anger/judgement of God to come upon us or make us vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy, the devil. 

Many Christians today want to live an on (when it's convenient) and off (when it's convenient) Christian life, thinking this way they can easily win in life by harnessing the advantages of a double standard, that is, a mix of a Christian and secular life, but they're so wrong and that's why they live a life loss and profit, happiness and misery, success and failure, health and sickness, etc. Their choice of a lifestyle of spiritual double standard comes with double standard results. 

David knew the excellent work the holy spirit did in his life and he didn't want him taken away as he prayed in Psalms 51:11(NKJV) saying, 

"[11]Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me." 

Paul asks us give it bodies "as a living sacrifice" not as a burden, no, but for the advantages we'll have if given to total submission under total influence of the holy spirit.

We read in Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) 
"[1]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
[2]And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Serve God with Spiritual Gifts"

Remember, spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit as Paul says in 1 Christians 12:1 (NKJV) that "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:"

He is a gentle spirit, and he'll bring gentleness into our character, which will make us more desirable and useable to both our God, and fellow men.

Monkeys Are Not Lazy!

While passing through a village in Mpigi districts several weeks ago I found a hunter with hunting nets, bells and a pack of dogs. Out of curiosity I inquired why he dressed and looked so much like people in our old African story books; he looked ancient for this era. For a moment I felt as though I had time-travelled to the 1700s. 

He said he's a hunter by profession, and had been hired by some community members to hunt monkeys that are destroying people's crops. A professional hunter today, in 2018?! 

Asking him if he had succeeded, he told me it's a matter of time and villagers will only have to visit the zoo or far forests to see what an actual monkey looks like, and those who can't afford to visit search places will only have to see photos of monkeys in publications.

There's a mythical story about a farmer who tried to negotiate with monkeys to grow their own food and stop destroying his but the attempts failed, because monkeys are monkeys, and monkeys don't grow their own food!

He tried to make them understand that they were like him, but monkeys could not comprehend the concepts of production he was saying, but they understood clearly what pertains to multiplication of their race, a race of monkeys that are just monkeys.

It's sad when you find a human, a creature of superior race that thinks and lives like a monkey, that all he has to do is live, eat and breed. 

The first assignment God gave to man after creation which still stands today is a management job that requires you to be a custodian and multiplier of resources. 

Genesis 1:28: Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

The blessing that was given to our ancient parents lives in every man and woman today, and this blessing is a call to duty. The blessing of God that is upon our lives, each person, gives us the ability to manage resources, including our life, the resources around us and time, and cause increase.

God gave each of us a double blessing at the beginning of time; a blessing to multiply (dominion; stewardship) and a blessing to be fruitful and multiply. Therefore, there is no excuse for being unproductive.

In the parable of the three savants (Matthew 25:15), a man, master, gave each one according to his ability, yet he expected each of them to multiply the gold coins according to their ability, but to MULTIPLY!

It's hard, maybe impossible to separate laziness from excuses, and Proverbs 26:16 (GNB) says it clearer, "A lazy person will think he is smarter than seven men who can give good reasons for their opinions." Why? Because he has mastered the art of giving excuses for everything he does or does not do. He will give lame excuses like what is said in Proverbs 22:13 (GNB) about lazy people that, "Lazy people stay at home; they say a lion might get them if they go outside."

How lazy people love to sleep! Different scriptures in the Bible talk about them, especially one that tells us how they love to toss and turn in bed like doors on hinges, without lifting a foot or finger to make sense out of their lives. Don't be like them because it's a miserable way to live.

Just as monkeys are destructive, so are lazy people; very destructive! And, Proverbs 18:9 (GNB) stresses it when it says, "A lazy person is as bad as someone who is destructive."

People confuse hard work with hard labour, we do not suffer working, no, we enjoy working because from working we derive purpose and meaning. Work; productivity defines us, it reveals us!

Working hard does not necessarily mean you have to do something that breaks your backbone and tears your muscle, no, but being productive, which can also be as a result of working smart to maximize resources and productivity.

People that work smart are those that invest their initial time in preparation for work like studying, researching and making plans.

Plan your work, break down tasks, prioritise, set targets or goals with specific time frames, and eat well, sleep in time, make some research on your work and then start your process of productivity.  This is smartness in making productive work a reality.

As we prepare to visit our up country homes and relatives in this festive season, think about doing something productive like buying a good specie of fruit seedlings from the city that require minimal care and take them home. Plant them and see how nice an up country visit will be in 3-5 years. Mangoes, oranges, lemons, avocados, pomegranates, Jack fruit, guavas, sour soup, even matooke suckers, sugarcane and cassava cuttings can do well, so that maybe next time when you go for your Christmas season you have something to bring back to the city.

In their nature, monkeys don't rest, they're active most of their life time yet they produce nothing. Some lazy people are like active monkeys, like infants and teens they're always up and down, but will not show you the results of their activity; they use a lot of effort to produce nothing, and I call this active laziness. 

I define active laziness in this case as a state where your body is very active but produces no actual results except tiredness and a busy reputation.

There are promises for hard workers and warnings for lazy people, but choose to be a productive person today!

Proverbs 10:4 (GNB) says, "Being lazy will make you poor, but hard work will make you rich."

And Proverbs 13:4 (GNB) says it even more clearer that, "No matter how much a lazy person may want something, he will never get it. A hard worker will get everything he wants."

Later I followed up on the hunted monkeys and I was told those that those captured in the nets were taken and dumped in Mpanga forest while some where killed and served to hunting dogs. 

Society has a way of eliminating lazy people, even through laws! In Kampala today, you can not come from anywhere and sit on the street where people are busy about their business - they'll see you as a security threat. You won't eat or find a place to lodge if you don't work, like a monkey, you'll have to find your food and home in a forest, which can mean any uncomfortable place or condition. THE CHALLENGES OF MODERN SOCIETIES: The Challenge of Opinions

People will want you to think the way they think, feel the way they feel and choose the way they choose,  but still give your opinion...
What kind modern democratic society is this...?

What is the use of my opinion if we all think, feel and choose the same? Why then should there be different groups in the same society that think, feel and choose the same? We need to achieve unity even with our differences in opinion, and it's possible.

To respect opinion is to respect diversity (call it embrace our differences) whether different, wrong, strange, good, considerable, mean, challenging or even if it sounds insane - it doesn't mean it is!

Remember, your morality is not everyone's morality and if you can not accord my opinion respect, why should I accord yours respect? Isn't this the cause of war/conflicts in democratic societies; people forgetting that the majority opinion does not have to undermine the minority opinion? Or isn't it true that the majority can be wrong and the minority right, and both will still have the conviction to pursue their cause?

I will accord your opinion the same respect you accord mine... and it's fair to you, it's fair to me. That is civilisation, that is democracy and that is a modern society... No offenses should be taken when individuals give an independent opinion!

Running tips and tricks:

1) run with your toes like you're skipping the rope; you'll not use a lot of your energy per distance. This works well when you're going uphill... run normally on flat and sloppy terrains.

2) Make smaller steps uphill and bigger steps on flat and sloppy terrains.

3) close your mouth and breath from your nose most of the distance

3) talk less during running; this reserved energy and breathe (oxygen) in your body.

4) take headsets and listen to the music you like the most, but keep your mind off the distance and road challenges

5) try to keep up with your running partner

6) identify a (your) comfortable running speed, but run

7) Don't copy the limb movement of your running partner, be yourself and you'll avoid strain on joints and muscles

8) don't forget that it's naturally in you to run and win the race (the sperm that brought you to life was faster than all other and won)😄

9) avoid interruptions from pedestrians, run on the side with less traffic; this may interrupt your running attitude

10) As your running partner, I encourage you to encourage me as I encourage you...

The Bible and Business/Profession as a Christian

There have been many controversies and confusions in teaching, but also God teaching about doing business and/or profession while a Christian. It's true that any devote Christian will tell you they've found this subject confusing at one point in time or even mixed up theories and gotten confused and discouraged.

Yeah, the bible teaches quite a lot about the subject, but many people just hate to bring it up in church, talking about faith and other trendy way ways or shortcuts to getting rich, especially through inspirational preaching with statements like "take it", "receive it", "claim it", "it's yours", "confess it and it'll come true" bla bla bla...

But, the bible says we have a comforter, a councillor and guide through this life and we ought not to be confused.

And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; John 14:16

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

So why the confusion about anything in life, when the presence of God himself is with us everyday of our life? Why not use answers from the author of life to be successful, safe and happy in life?

The Lord Jesus Christ himself talked quite a lot about the profitable and fruitful life of a Christian in a number of ways; but especially in parables like the parable of the coin, the parable of the petition of the judge, the parable of the vine, the parable of the prodigal son who could hardly use his money wisely and in many other parables, which involve the subjects of commitment, sacrifice, sowing, investing (life the parable of the talents), thankfulness, etc

But in the old testament God talked about subjects life that too...

Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Isaiah 48:17

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 says;
1 Invest your money in foreign
trade, and one of these days you
will make a profit.
2 Put your investments in several places
-- many places even -- because you
never know what kind of bad luck you
are going to have in this world.

Now, as long as we are of the Lord and we make good use of the holy spirit our daily teacher, listening to his counsel, we ought to make a profit in everything we do.

The Bible also recognises the benefit of hard work;

In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. Proverbs 14:23

So, God and hard work are a good starting point if you're planning on making a profit some day in your life. All plans are authorised by God, but bad/evil plans by the devil and his accomplices.

Always be apart of the winning team, a team with God!

Life changing scripture

PSALMS 127:1-5
In Praise of God's Goodness

1 If the Lord does not build the house,
    the work of the builders is useless;
if the Lord does not protect the city,
    it does no good for the sentries to stand guard.
2 It is useless to work so hard for a living,
    getting up early and going to bed late.
For the Lord provides for those he loves,
    while they are asleep.

3 Children are a gift from the Lord;
    they are a real blessing.
4 The sons a man has when he is young
    are like arrows in a soldier's hand.
5 Happy is the man who has many such arrows.
He will never be defeated
    when he meets his enemies in the place of judgment.

Commentary:
1) God's handiwork is perfect, and God doesn't only protect you against what you see but also from the thoughts of those who intend to hurt you... he'll guard (prevent) their minds of thoughts that intend to hurt you.
2) Hard work that may even harm your health does not really result into wealth. Good wealth comes with wellness, good health, which only comes from God. God given blessing are not hurtful but joyful. It's good to wake-up early morning to praise, worship and pray, however if your kind of work requires you to wake-up early, please do because it's said that "the early bird catches the first worm." And if it comes from God, it's good although it involves straining and working hard.
3) This scripture emphasises the importance of children in the lives of God fearing people, and stresses their origin - God!!!
4-5) It's good to have children at a younger age, the energy of a young man is good when used to raise children, and before the age of weakness comes, such children that come at a young age are already grown and strong enough to support and defend you.

Dissatisfaction in election results...

I don't know where the people's president and those who love him are, but I know that wherever they're God Almighty is keeping them safe...

Scenario: Help me out guys, if I buy something from you and I pay you, are you allowed to count through the money I can have paid you? Should you count it before or after you've put it in your pocket? What if you keep it without count it and it's not enough when you get home, do you complain? Who then can listen to such a complaint?

Fact: #FDC participated in a genuine election with various candidates expecting to win or loose to any candidate(s) who Ugandans think is worth leading them. The constitution allows them to have polling agents at every polling station and they are entitled to a copy of the declaration form just like any other candidates. When voting is done, all declaration forms countrywide are collected in one place, accounted and compared to what the Electoral Commission can have tallied. Should there be an discrepancies, #FDC is entitled to a complaint, just like anyone else. This now Mr. Kigundu says is illegal. And, to make it worse, all forms of quick delivery of information have been frustrated by Mr.Kigundu and his favorite candidate #Museveni so that no one has the ability to make a substantial complaint in time before announcing the winner tomorrow, and this makes me feel helpless. To further disorganise the already falling exercise of internally tallying votes, our president has been imprisoned with all who could have taken over from him in his absence.

Whoever buys something from anyone and forbids him or her to count through the money paid is a thief... so is anyone aspirant who contests with fellow aspirants and forbids them to count and verify their wins and losses.

Questions:
1) Should I believe the results Mr. Kigundu will give tomorrow as credible?
2) Amid so much impunity, does #Museveni even care about the attitude of Ugandans he leads or intends to lead after bending all laws and abusing power?
3) What if any other president you didn't vote did the same as what's been done this time around, what would you do?
4) Does patriotism still mean anything of importance to you and our leaders today?

Disappointment:
I am deeply disappointed in the electoral commission.
I am deeply disappointed in #Museveni.
I am deeply disappointed in the cause of the 1981-86 war.
I am deeply disappointed in the armed forces of Uganda that I've always trusted with my peace security.
I am deeply disappointed in our legal system that make victims offenders and offenders victims.

For good and my country.

Please share until they all know how we feel.

A National Dialogue is the path to a shared future... Bishop David Zac Niringiye

This afternoon, the Electoral Commission of Uganda declared Gen Y Museveni the winner of the 2016 Presidential Election. It is obvious even to casual observes that the elections were rigged.

The EU Observer Mission' Preliminary Report is clear.

The Elections were rigged by state institutions and leaders in favour of Gen Y Museveni. The process was not credible. The result is not legitimate. A stolen election can not secure sustainable peace and a future of all Ugandans. It can not provide the basis of a stable and prosperous country.

That is why the immediate priority is a National Dialogue, to find a common path to a future that includes all! The Dialogue must address the critical issues that have divided the country, as the way to avert violence. Justice and equity are the way of peace! The Elders Forum and IRCU could build on the presidential debates and make the dialogue possible.

International Citizens and Friends of Uganda

Members of the Press Corps and the Diplomatic Community,

We have just witnessed what must be the most fraudulent electoral process in Uganda. We participated in this process to highlight and show the world quite how fraudulent this military regime is. The Electoral Commission is not independent and its technical incompetence and partisanship has been made clear for all to see. The voting material was not delivered in time. People were unlawfully removed from the Voters’ Register whilst ghosts were wantonly added. Freedoms of assembly and expression were wantonly curbed. We were not free to carry out our campaigns without intimidation and interference from the partisan Uganda Police Force and the NRM’s militia dubbed the Crime Preventers.

On election day, all access to social media platforms was switched off. This can only have been designed to impede transparency of the election. The popular mobile money platforms were also disabled, cutting millions of ordinary people off from their meager resources. This can only be described as illegal collective punishment, which is an offense under international law.

Then after the elections as the Electoral Commission started announcing falsified results when we called a press conference to show the world how the results that we had, results that were announced at polling stations in the presence of citizens and our own polling agents, the Uganda Police Force brutally stormed our offices and arrested the Party President, Maj. General Mugisha Muntu, our Chief Mobiliser, Ms. Ingrid Turinawe, and myself. We were detained without charge at Naggalama Police Station and whilst General Muntu and I were released late in the night, Ms. Turinawe was detained overnight.

Today I am under house arrest. My home is sealed off and I am not allowed to leave. Nobody is allowed to access my home. I am also under some kind of electronic blockade. I am unable to access any form of internet service in my house.

Generally, the regime is baring its bloodied fangs and claws for all to see. This has not been an electoral process. This is a creeping military coup.

What must be done

I have come to ask for two things:

The results of the presidential elections must be rejected by the international community.

An international commission should be established to audit the results of the elections.

A Profound Faith in Democracy

While I address you as a presidential candidate, I greet you today as human rights and a pro-democracy activist. As you know, I have dedicated my adult life to the struggle for democracy in Uganda.

I come from the generation which beliefs that democracy is the gateway to human rights and human dignity and to the rule of law, and to tolerance and pluralism. Any government which claims to derive its mandate from the people must believe and practice democracy.

Anyone who believes in human dignity, and who believes that we are all created in the image of God and that we all stand equal before the law, must be believe and practice democracy.

Anyone who believes in Pan-Africanism and the dignity of the African person, and that an African has the equal claim to life as any person on this earth, must believe and practice democracy.

And to those friends around the world who wish Africa well and who believe in the dignity of the African continent, they too must believe in democracy and the inalienable right of the African to enjoy it and to live by the universal democratic creed.

I believe deeply in my heart that the African Renaissance will never happen without democracy. I believe profoundly that the East African Federation would be stillborn without democracy.

Sir Winston Churchill once said that the empires of the future will be the empires of the mind. That was true and profound. I hasten to reframe that statement. The empires of the future will be the empires of democracy.

No one can be a full citizen of the 21 st century without enjoying the full blessings of democracy. Any Image claim to the contrary is false.

There can be no citizenship without democracy.

Democracy on Trial in Uganda

Today democracy is on trial in Uganda. The evidence is all around us.

The most sacred right of a citizen is the right to vote peacefully and freely. There is no greater right in a free and open society. It’s upon the right to vote that all other democratic rights are anchored. Today the right to vote—and the right to do so peacefully—has been wantonly violated in Uganda.

That violation should be a profound moral offense to all of us.

A profound offense to all the citizens of Uganda. And it is an offense to all Africans and to all global citizens.

When you violate the rights of an African to vote, you insult his and her humanity and you rob him of his human dignity. That was the fundamental offense of colonialism: the odious practice, and the insulting belief, that an African could be a subject but never a citizen.

Today in Uganda, the right to vote—the very essence of citizenship—has been violated with impunity.

International Community asked to sanction impunity and human rights violations

And the international community has been asked to sanction those gross human rights violations.

You have been asked to sanction elections that are neither free nor fair nor credible.

And there is only one logic to that request: that African lives do not matter. And that an African can live without democracy or human dignity.

Instead of democracy, the logic goes, an African would rather receive international charity.

Instead of democracy, an African would rather be trained in post-conflict resolution.

By ratifying these sham elections, the international community is being invited to become a partner in the violations of the African people.

I am therefore here to ask the international community to have the courage to defend the millions of Ugandans—the youth and the elderly—who had the courage to vote. Let them know that it’s not a crime to be an African.

Please reject the temptation to ratify these sham elections.

But should you ratify the results of these sham elections, at least, have the courage to admit that you do not care about democracy or human rights in Africa.

No one who can sanction these elections can credibly profess to be for democracy or for human rights in Africa. I am greatly heartened by the fact that the International Observer missions from the AU, the EU, and the Commonwealth have all, in their preliminary reports indicated that this exercise has not been free, fair, transparent or credible.

I urge you, on behalf of the brave citizens of Uganda, to reject the results of these sham elections.

To my brothers and sisters across Africa, I urge you to stand with the people of Uganda and to assert the rights of every African to live in a free and democratic society.

To my fellow Ugandans, I salute your courage and thank you for your support and for believing in democracy and peace. Democracy is the only path to peace and prosperity and to the rule of law. Remain vigilant and steadfast. The struggle is long and hard but, in the end, we shall win if we continue in our patient and steadfast resolve. The regime cannot survive without our co-operation. Let us denounce this electoral theft by withdrawing our recognition of the regime and ceasing to co-operate with it.

Let us have the strength and the courage to finish this struggle. I  mow deep in my heart that Uganda shall be free!

Human Rights, Right to Development.

In order to answer the question ‘Do people have a right to development?’ we need to look at the document which defines what human rights are. TheUniversal Declaration on Human Rightswas agreed in 1948 after the end of the Second World War to bring nations together to promote peace and protect human life.

The Declaration is the first articulation of human rights and states that:

Human rights are universal - the birth right of all human beings.Human rights focus on the inherentdignity and equal worth of all human beings.All human rights are equal, indivisibleand interdependent (UN General Assembly, 1948).

In this context International Human Rights Law serves as:

A beacon - pulling states towards accepting human rightsA safety net - to supplement the national legal systemA basis - to ‘mobilise shame’ of the international community

The application of international human rights frameworks means that governments are (or should be) heldaccountable for their actions. There are four categories of Human Rights obligations of the State:

Respecting a right means that a state must not violate a particular right.Protecting a right means that a state has to prevent violations of that right by non-state actors.Fulfilling a right means that a state has to take all appropriate measures (allocate resources), to the realisation of that right.Promoting a right means that a state must educate the public and raise awareness about that right.

The UN convened the first World Conference on Human Rights in 1968 which recognised that for:

“the achievement of lasting progress the implementation of human rights is dependent upon sound and effective national and international policies of social and economic development” (United Nations, 1968).

This was taken forward by Judge Keba M’Baye from Senegal who in 1972 advocated that development should be viewed as a right. He persisted with this claim and secured a 1977 UN Commission on Human Rights resolution for a study to be conducted on the right to development as a human right.

In the 1980’s development economist Amartya Sen began writing about entitlements and deprivation in relation to famine and argued that famine was not the result of a lack of food, but of inequalities in the way in which food was distributed. Attention was thus drawn to a human rights approach to development based on the principles of social justice and equity which culminated in the UN Declaration on the Right to Development in 1986.

Last week we showed you the definition of development agreed at the 1986 UNDeclaration on the Right to Development. The following are key features of theDeclaration:

The human person is identified as the beneficiary of the right to development, as of all human rights.The right to development can be invoked both by individuals and by peoples.It imposes obligations both on individual States - to ensure equal and adequate access to essential resources - and on the international community - to promote fair development policies and effective international cooperation.

The Right to Development includes six principles:

full sovereignty over natural resourcesself-determinationpopular participation in developmentnon-discriminationequality of opportunity for developmentthe creation of favourable conditions for the enjoyment of other civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights

We will come back to the issues of natural resources in the final week of the course and the extent to which the other principles have been upheld.

THE LEGACY OF MR. KIIZA BESIGYE WARREN KIFEFE

The contribution of #WesigeBesigye to the growth and development of democracy in Uganda is one of the topics many young Ugandans will study in history 1's African nationalism. You see, when I was still in school and we studied about the North, West, East and South African nationalists, it all seemed as though we were living in the future of great men of Uganda like Mr. Milton Obote 1&2 and Mr. Amin Daada, and all that was done in their era was something of the passed we could only study but never experience in a modern society, but it's a shame; we're living in history and not the future that many Ugandans sacrificed their lives for in the NRA war.

Now, the new list of modern African nationalist should include Mr. Besigye for his contribution the promotion of democracy, human rights, accountability and transparency of government in Uganda.

How else would we have known how terrible public funds have been mismanaged or embezzled in the #Museveni regime? Or even, how challenging anyone would have to find it to compete with an incumbent president in a manipulated military government like this in Uganda?

Many other politicians have come out to join him in the struggle for democracy and good governance but we all know that persistence and integrity have challenged them out of the struggle and some have succumbed to bribery and abandoned the struggle for common good, and followed personal gains.

The selfless preacher of democracy and good governance, Mr. Besigye, has awoken many sleeping Ugandans and addressed their daily challenges without fear, even for his life, or favour for relatives and tribesmen gaining from the corrupt government. Yes, he has led a team of people (citizens of Uganda) who believe we can do better than this.  It's therefore for this reason that all upright and hopeful thinking Ugandans have decided to finance and contribute to the struggles of Mr.Besigye, and to work voluntarily with him to promote democracy and good governance.

As for me, am grateful for the revolutionary seeds Mr.Besigye has planted in today's generation and the hope in a good, democratic, transparent, accountable and developmental government that favours all, which is possible in Uganda now and can be that way for long in the future. Indeed many Ugandans know today that what wet have for a government is not all that we'd want to be our government and therefore we want a better government, the best government wet can make by our selves and be completely proud of.

Mr.Besigye has informed, thought and criticised peacefully in every way possible and it doesn't matter whether he becomes president of Uganda or not come 18/02/2016, Mr. Besigye has played a good part in the governance of Uganda and he'll forever be our hero.

If #WesigeBesigye was a teacher, all Ugandans would be passing with flying colours because it's good for all of us, and if he had been a referee I'd bet on every game his team plays because am sure it'd be a sure win, but most of all if Mr.Besigye ever becomes president, am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that all Ugandans will be proud again of their country and will exhibit more patriotism than ever before... Uganda would develop and people would regain their confidence in social services provided to the by their government through fellow Ugandans. I won't stop dreaming and wishing for a day like this!

Ugandan Politics... Election 2016

Happy new year. I sincerely send my greetings to you all esp my friends that debates with me on face book.
I HV also shared this FDC post so that we can now debate the psychology of  crowds on rallies. So thx a lot. But we also talk abt rallies in Hospitals by Kiiza.
To the point: people shd know that all Presidential candidates were give a similar program for rallies and venues by the EC. The schedule was meant to allow each candidate to have a rally in every 280 constituencies in Uganda.
Kyarya the lady Candidate ran to UK, Barya fizzled out silently, Bwanika did some six in six districts, Biraro went to Mbale and got some malaria and the other day he was calling me. I don't know why.
Mbabazi has been struggling taking advantage of FDC supporters in districts towns. The FDC thinks that by supporting Mbabazi with some Ka crowd,  he will in the minds of people reduce M7 votes below 50%. WHEREAS NOT.

Kiiza the defiant Liberator has done so far a rally in each district that he has covered. I mean a district not a constituency. In his rallies he combines people from all the constituencies in that district in one such a rally and visibly the people may think that he has many people. But If you divide such a crowd into let's say  the five constituencies of Masindi, you will get a handful that would make Kiiza pack his boots and go home.
WE HAVE Only President M7 the FATHER OF THE NATION who has done a rally in every constituency according to EC'  program. And if you see the crowd for example in one rally in Kisoro, or what I saw at Kachumbara- Teso, such a crowd doubles that of Kiiza in the whole district of MASINDI.
And in any case if M7 decided to combine his crowds of let's say Kabale district, ie crowds of the five constituencies, where and in which venue would those people fit?

And FDC is using this trick to prepare people psycologicaly that; you see; we had many people and now they have won. Therefore they cheated. We in the NRM are doing just the lawful and busy gathering evidence. Instead of Kiiza doing rallies in every constituency, he does one at a district town and spends the remaining time threatening to visit hospitals, schools and other prohibited public places.
We are watching and taking note. In fact whether he wins or not, we, at least me, shall sue him over his unlawful conduct.Of deliberately breaking the laws of Uganda. A person who is charged with a case if moral turpitude is not allowed to lead in Uganda. Note this one brothers and sisters.

And the  EC is now on spot for being unfair to M7 and other candidates. I don't know why they allow Kiiza to hurt the public that he intends to lead. How can a practicing and professional doctor go to a hospital and tell the patients there that they have come to that hospital to die? That the wards in which they are being treated are Mortuaries. I'm informed that Some patients have immediately corrupsed and died on hearing the verbose from DR. KIIZA BESIGYE. Who accounts for those deaths?
And why can't the EC allow M7 to go to the same hospital and also explain to the same patients that what Kiiza is saying is not true. The EC shd be fair to all candidates.
Kyarya shd also go there, Barya, Biraro, Bwanika, Mbabazi, Mabirizi shd also go to the same patients to give their part of the story.And by end of all these visits to one patient of heart blood pressure, will he still be alive?
SO WHY KIIZA ALONE . If Kiiza is allowed to kill oatients because he is a candidate, let all be allowed. After all they all oaid the 20 m
WHY IS IT THAT KIZA IS THE ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO VISIT HOSPITALS EVEN BEFORE WE LISTEN TO THE REPUGNANT AND MALIGNANT MSG HE GIVES TO THE PATIENTS THERE? WHY, WHY WHY WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII..............

WHY shd Kiiza psychologically kill our people and the EC and police are watching. Treatment of a patient involves both physical- therapy and psyco- therapy. What is Kiiza doing to us MY GOD? WHO can save us from this power thirsty Colonel Doctor.
Has the Law in Uganda gone into abeyance or it has gone to sleep just because Kiiza is coming to lead us. The guy preaches defiance and every one is just there mesmerised and doing nothing. If he defies the Laws so that he can lead us why don't we also be allowed to defy the Law that allows him to lead us. Then he will never lead us. Aren't we equal before the law Gen. Kayihura?
But Ugandans don't loose hope. We have the constitution on our side. Articles one of this GRAND NORM gives us power over anybody in this country. The power to inter alia elect our leader and only where we have consented and applied our will. Let me wait and see how the people are going to leave  M7 the healer and psychological soother of our people and vote Kiiza the psychological killer of our patients in hospitals. It happens on on 18/02/16

My reply:

Haha... I've heard of words like impunity and they're all nicknames of the #NRM government. #WesigeBesigye has been stopped from visiting hospitals and schools, and soon bad roads, churches, mosques, and play grounds and/or disco halls will be out of bounds for him... wait!!!
About suing #WesigeBesigye, it's okay... the #NRM government owns both the so called Ugandan Police and the courts of law plus some known judges (except a few who defy,  like #WesigBesigye and follow justice). Now please do as you please...
Otherwise as brother in residence, happy new year and please as you know now that you're in Kabale, we're supposed to meet for a free chat... manya tury'abanywani mushawe, do don't stop these social meetings. As for me, peace and development are and should be a priority for all Ugandans.

THE NEED FOR A MINIMUM WAGE

Now USA has increased its minimum wage to $10/Hr, that's about UGX36,000... And in 8Hrs an average American will be earning about UGX288,000 and in a month UGX 6,336,000, without weekends and overtime.

Our current leader says if the government puts a minimum wage on the Labour provided by Ugandan citizens then it'll discourage investors as the cost of operating business in Uganda will be high.

Question is, which benefits out-weigh the others? Let's look at a few of them down here:-
1) With a minimum wage
- High labour efficiency
- Evenly distributed wealth
- No exploitation or modern slavery
- Improve quality of labour; as people can afford education with good earnings.
- Improve standards of living
- Bigger tax base
- Rapid development
- Improved and enlarged market base
- Income inequality gap is reduced
- Increased number of investors and medium business people
- Bla bla bla

2) Without a minimum wage
- All the above are not there or are still staggering... and the opposite of each is true.
- Increased number of investors, better known as exploiters
- Everything good about the lack of it is arguably negative...

Now, why do you think our government is still failing to give it's citizens an opportunity to better and respect their lives through a minimum wage? The answers are simple; our government encourages corruption, exploitation of its citizens and natural resources and wants to generally keep it's citizens poor...

If the business of an investor makes money, as many of them do, and they're taking it all without giving citizens what they deserve, is Uganda benefiting when the investors takes a share of the Ugandan government money back to his home country? No wonder Bank of Uganda is struggling with maintaining the value of the Ugandan shilling  against the dollar. And please don't think am racist or that i hate investors, I love my country as much, or even more than the investors love theirs.

Note that our unemployment levels amid all this exploitation is 64% (CCTV) and underemployment is I guess 99.4%.

HOLISTIC CANCER CURES

INTRODUCTION

It`s unpredictable, it`s uncanny. It may be lurking within a body and the body wouldn't know. Many a minor ache, quietly ignored and quickly discarded in the past, may be the begetter of that which is pernicious, lethal and detrimental to life. It shrouds itself in dubious obscurity till the time comes for it to reveal the first symptoms. All this while, the fatal cell stealthily multiplies and spreads. It disseminates its devastating influence till it aborts the very functional mechanism of the human body. Such is the effect of cancer.

Cancer is not a single disease. It is a large and complex family of malignancies that can affect virtually every organ in the body. Cancer kills one out of every four Americans, surpassed only by heart disease as the leading cause of death in this country. Over 1.2 million new cases are diagnosed every year, with half of them occurring in the lung, prostate, breast, colon and rectum. Cancer can strike at any age, although it is most common in people over 50.

There are around 200 different types of cancer. Two in five people, at some point in their lives, are susceptible to it. Cancer is the term given to a large group of diseases that vary in type and location. It is the result of a continuous, abnormal and relatively autonomous cell proliferation, which is due to the permanent alteration of some cells that gets transmitted to the cell family. It is a disease caused by the loss of control over a cell`s reproduction capacity.Rather than dividing in a controlled and programed manner, the cell continues to divide and multiply abnormally, until a detectable lump or tumor develops.

This new growth can be either benign or malignant. A benign tumor does not spread, or metastasize, to other parts of the body and so are not cancerous. They can often be removed and are rarely a threat to life. A malignant tumor, however, can spread and is cancerous. When this tumor spreads, its malignant cells break off and travel through the blood lymph system to other parts of the body, resulting in a secondary tumor, or metastasis. The name given to the cancer, however, is reflective of the origination of the cancer. For example, if lung cancer spreads to the brain, the disease is still called metastatic lung cancer, not brain cancer.

Both external and internal factors cause cancer. Factors such as chemicals, radiation, viruses, hormones and inherited mutations may act together to start or further cancer. Ten or more years may pass between exposure and detectable cancer.

Anyone, from children to senior citizens can get this disease. What causes cancer in the first place, and how quickly the cells grow and spread, varies from person to person. While a large number of people with cancer overcome the disease and live fulfilled lives for many years, some succumb within a few months.

Thanks to the advances made by research, treatments are available for many forms of cancer. Depending on the type of the disease, these treatments are used alone or in combination, to either control cancer cell growth or to eliminate the disease entirely. The treatment choices depend on the stage of the tumor. Traditional or conventional treatment options may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy. These therapies have all been tested in clinical trials and proven to be acceptable, safe and effective, although with often unpleasant side effects.

But the journey with cancer is a long, stressful and strenuous one. The treatment procedure itself may be detrimental to the emotional well-being of the patient. This is where complementary and alternative therapies have stepped in to offer holistic treatment. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM)-also referred to as integrative medicine-includes a broad range of healing philosophies, approaches and therapies. These therapies are used in an effort to prevent illness, reduce stress, prevent or reduce side effects and symptoms, and control or cure disease.

The terms "complementary" and "alternative" are often used interchangeably, when in fact they are two different therapies. Complementary therapies such as acupuncture, aromatherapy, art therapy, counseling, massage, meditation, etc. are therapies which are given alongside conventional cancer treatments. The former, however, does not replace the latter. They play a supportive role and are only used in addition to standard treatments. Just Stop Having Problems, Stupid! The Anti-Self−Help Guide By Dr. Matt Leichty, Fake Doctor

Guys, I think the "fake doctors" words carry some sense... I didn't know surely that some people we call, or who sincerely admit that they're fake can have some philosophical sense, okay, let's look at these words.

Therefore, knowledge consumes power. Think over everything that we’ve stated:

• There is a limited amount of knowledge I can gain in one lifetime.

• Each piece of knowledge consumes power.

• Some pieces of knowledge produce more power than others.

• If I don’t use it, some pieces of knowledge may consume more power than they produce.

• By selectively choosing what knowledge I acquire, I will determine if my net power output is a) positive or b) negative.

Now, obviously, this is a stupid metaphor because the type of power consumed is not exactly the type of power produced. And I’m not suggesting you sit down and estimate the kilowatt hours that a piece of knowledge would consume, because that’s stupid.

I’m sure that there’s some really smart person who really, really wants to figure that out, and may even do it, and this is why they waste power. It’s simply not worth knowing. I don’t care if you tell yourself, “Oh, I’ll just get on the Google and look up the energy requirements of the human brain, and divide that by the number of facts a person retains at the end of their lifetime.

Or, maybe I’ll need to multiply the energy requirements of the entire human body by the percentage of body mass that the brain carries.” To this, I ask you, have you considered the fact that the energy requirements for a human being are variable over a lifetime, as indeed fact retention must be? My apologies, you say, I didn’t factor in those variables.

And then I might mention the fact that what you really want to do is get a random sampling of individuals over all ages and body types. And certainly, you would want to examine gender differences and environmental factors.
